Lady Gaga is not happy with Fox. On Wednesday night, "American Idol" aired nearly five minutes of Gaga's pre-taped performance of her latest single "Alejandro," complete with a grand finale that involved Gaga posing under a dripping statue of a burning angel. But apparently that wasn't enough for the star, who took to her official Twitter to complain: "FOX POORLY AMATEURLY edited cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol." Gaga then directed fans to the "real" version on Perez Hilton's blog.
The blog Idol Tracker was at the taping last wee, and reported that the studio audience was forced to stay in their seats over an hour and a half later than expected because of Gaga's repeated practice sessions, though they say the star was appreciative of the audience's sacrifice. Gaga's performance was risqué as usual, but the segment was most likely edited for length, as "Idol" is frequently criticized for going over their allotted time. Fox has not commented about the performance.

Time's Most Influential People Gala
Hollywood power couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore attended Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" gala at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in NYC. The celebrity Twitter king and creator of "Punk'd" was one of the honorees.
A sparkling Taylor Swift mingled with President Bill Clinton at the soiree. Both scored spots on Time's list of men and women "whose power, talent or moral example is transforming the world."
Mariah Carey's hubby (three times over) Nick Cannon walked the red carpet solo.

Style Icon of the Day: Kate Nash

Yeah the accent is a bit ridic when you look like a Blue Peter presenter from the '50s but she does make nice pop songs. So in her honour I've put together an outfit that suitably combines the twee indie with a hint of mumsy and a strong dash of crafty. Taking a floral retro dress I teamed it with cute bow earrings and ankle boots, perfect for a summer festival. A large leather holdall carries on the retro theme and the patchwork purse is perfectly crafty. A rose brooch tops off the look, adding a final splash of femininity. See after the jump for full picture and product details.

Lady Gaga and J.Lo's Twin Catsuits
Celebrities in unitards that sparkle onstage? Two makes it a trend! Lady Gaga arrived at Monday's Met Gala in a body-hugging catsuit nearly identical to the one Jennifer Lopez wore on New Year'sEve.
Gaga rocked a crystal-encrusted Armani unitard at Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's yearly tribute to high fashion. She accessorized with sparkly boots and long, wavy hair -- a surprisingly natural look for the avant-garde singer.
Also out of character for the famously fearless Gaga: She suffered a bout of stage fright that caused her to skip the red carpet and spend most of the evening locked away in a dressing room. Friends tried to coax Gaga out to no avail, until finally artist Terrence Koh and Oprah managed to get the catsuit-clad diva onto the stage. Once up there, she blew everyone away, belting out four songs including megahit "Bad Romance."
While Gaga is usually the one setting the fashion agenda (see: her now-ubiquitous Alexander McQueen towering stiletto platforms) J.Lo seems to have been on top of the trend well before Gaga caught on -- Lopez worked her own glittery, tight-as-can-be bodysuit four months ago.

She appeared on "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve" in a sparkly black Paula Bradley one-piece and studded heels. The outfit, showing off every inch of Jen's post-baby body, kept people talking for days. Lopez admitted on "Live With Regis and Kelly" that she was so taken by the outfit she wore it two more times. But Britney Spears gets credit for testing the look first in 2004.
The Met Gala, always good for a few fashion hits and misses, saw outrageous looks from other stars as well. Oprah, the event's cohost, wore a feathery Oscar de la Renta gown, Kristen Stewart arrived in a Gothic-inspired sparklefest by Chanel, and Katy Perry spent the evening in a glow-in-the-dark dress filled with little LED lights.

Signs that He's Lying
It's not always easy to recognize when your guy isn't telling the truth. But there are subtle cues that indicate he's trying to fudge the facts. To help awaken your inner lie detector -- and prevent dishonesty from floating in your relationship -- we called in ex-CIA polygraph examiner Dan Crum, author of the new book "Is He Lying To You?"
At one time or another your guy has probably said something that sounded a little fishy. The bachelor party ended at 10 p.m.; the auto mechanic made him invest in a bigger engine; he's allergic to opera. In fact, men tell twice as many lies as women, most of which are just little white lies, according to a new survey from 20th Century Fox to mark the DVD launch of the TV series "Lie To Me."
"Men lie to preserve their ego," Crum explains. "They don't want to spoil the reputation they've worked hard to earn." So if he wants you to think of him as reliable, he may fib that he made that phone call to the insurance company a week ago -- and then make a note to do it tomorrow. Other times, lying is simply the easy way out, especially if he thinks the truth will get him in trouble, Crum says. Maybe he drove his female coworker home because her car broke down, but tells you he drove home alone so you won't get worked up.
Even though small fibs seem harmless, these little white lies can undermine a sense of trust in your relationship. "When men get away with small, insignificant fibs, it builds their lying comfort level," Crum says. "The more practice he gets, the higher your risk that he'll lie about bigger things down the line." But you don't need to hook him up to a polygraph machine to pick up on deception. These simple tactics can help you spot the lie, get him talking truthfully, and pave the way for a more trusting and honest relationship.
1. Take a mental picture of his usual behavior. The way your guy behaves verbally and non-verbally when he's relaxed is what Crum calls a man's WIN (what is normal). The next time you are talking about the weather, plans for the weekend, or any other no-pressure topic, take note of his WIN -- does he clear his throat or gesture when he speaks? Only when you know his WIN will you be able to pick up on the subtle changes in body language, speech, and tone of voice that occur when he's trying to hide something.

Amanda Seyfried Reveals Secret To Long-Distance Dating Dominic Cooper
.
Amanda Seyfried says she and boyfriend Dominic Cooper, her co-star in 2008's blockbuster "Mamma Mia!," are able to successfully date long-distance with the help of their Web cams and a lot of time in the air.
"There's nothing easy about it," she told InStyle Hair in their new issue of her three-year relationship with the British actor. "We get on airplanes. You have to be willing to get on one, plain and simple."
The 24-year-old actress said technology also helps keep them close - at least virtually.
"And we Skype - it's boring, but it's true," she continued. "We don't even sit in front of the computer. The other day, I was cleaning, he was cleaning. We couldn't see each other - we were just scrubbing away and talking like we were in the same room."
Amanda also opened up about her much-talked about love scene with Julianne Moore in "Chloe."
"Love scenes are always awkward - even in real life they can be awkward. In a movie they're just very technical," she explained. "We were both nervous, so we laughed a lot. And then the scene turned out exactly the way we wanted it. Still, I keep thinking my lips were so big in that movie! My look was all lips and all hair."
As for those long blonde locks, she said she's willing to cut it all off - but only if her part was just right, saying, "I would chop [my hair] all off for a movie, but the role would have to be worth it."
